Th´EX Factor
Every friday night throughout August, Nick Alexander of Heart Fm Spain, hosted El Faro´s version of this popular talent show at the Café Bar Carlton
Entrants paid 5€ to audition and had to sing 3 songs in front a panel of 4 judges. The winner each week went into the grand final which was held on the evening of the Fun Day on 19th Sept 09.
The competition, with a 1st prize of 50€ donated by Karen and Phil at the Café Bar Carlton, attracted a number of singers from up and down the coast, and holiday makers alike.
The Grand final was a lively affair and the overall winner was decided by the locals and customers of the bar on the evening. The final winner was Abby with her rendition of a popular Britney Spears song.
Th´EX Factor was well supported and raised a total of 605.00€ for L.I.V.E. We are sure this will be a feature once again in next years event calendar.
